Akon Curtains and Dividers
our customers have been buying industrial outdoor curtains from us for quite some time. We decided to write this brief article to help you consider some of the important aspects of these unique curtains.
one important aspect of an industrial outdoor curtain that customers generally overlook is the fact that in outdoor curtain acts much like a sail. Outdoor curtains are exposed to much different elements than a curtain which is located inside of a building. The wind is one important difference. If the outdoor curtain is not properly anchored down at the top and the bottom and it will fly around like a flag on a flag pole. To combat this here are a few features that should be included.
- Wind break rods - a wind break rod is a vertical steel rod that travels from the base of the curtain all the way to the top of the curtain. This steel rod dissipates the forces over a larger area of the curtain, rather than just the stitching at the top and the bottom.
- Wind vent panels - a wind vent panel allows the wind to pass through the curtain which reduces the stress on the stitching and the anchoring points.
Sun/UV effects on the Industrial Outdoor Curtain
The sun can also damage an outdoor curtain and cause it to prematurely wear out. Ultraviolet rays overtime breakdown the materials that the industrial curtain is constructed from. to combat this the curtain has to be constructed from fabrics which are designed for outdoor use. These fabrics are better adapted to handle the ultraviolet rays and will provide you with many more years of use.
I hope you enjoyed this week's article about our industrial outdoor curtains.
